It's Birthday Time For Me Again! I'm Eleven!

Hello, everybody!

It's time for my yearly update on life in California as a COC dog.  I get so excited to do this.  I'm thankful to my Creator for letting me spend my life with Grandma doing so many cool things.

Notice anything new on my official cape?  It's a badge that tells everyone I'm an EXCELLENT therapy dog!  That means I'm pretty good.

What have I been up to?  The usual things. I've been busy with all my therapy commitments.  That includes helping Grandma be the pet therapy co-ordinator at Camp Arroyo (you remember - the camp for disabled children).

... And then, of course, there's Paws to Read.

I love it when kids want to read to me!  It improves their reading skills (so I'm told - I'm not much of a reader myself), and I LOVE the stories.

So...  I was busy all year long.  But when Spring came, it was time for me to celebrate my eleventh birthday!

I love birthdays because Grandma throws such great parties.

Here's my special birthday scarf.  For Grandma's parties, you dress up.

Here I am with  my BFF, Alexa.  Good times are always better with Alexa!  We like to play party games.  Our favorite one is playing ball.

Of course, then there's playing keep-away with two balls....

.

Finally it was time for the main attraction!  We waited patiently for my birthday cake....

And we waited patiently some more.  Hey, I put in the cake order - what's taking the chef so long?

Maybe, if we stare at the door LONG enough and HARD enough, it'll show up....

At last!  The cake!  Yum!

Now we wait again - for the presents.  (Isn't this how every dog's birthday goes?   You hurry to wait!)

Yes!  The presents were worth waiting for!  Take a look at the special dog cookies from Grandma!

And here's another present:  a bottle of Rose wine!  (It's pronounced Ro-ZAY, in case you don't know, and it's just a toy.  You don't need to worry about me.)

Look at me posing!  Can you believe I'm ELEVEN years old?

Bella came to my party, too.  You have to look pretty closely to see her.  She's my special buddy for Happy (or Yappy, or Meowy) Hour.....

So it was a really great birthday!  Then I had a BIG surprise just a few days later.  My Momma came to see me!

Not my Grandma or my PR Mom, but my very own Momma Dog!  Her name is Jenni.  Isn't she beautiful?

Here are Grandma's friends.  Joyce is the friend who gives the annual pool party.  Linda (in the blue and white) is Jenni's breeder/caretaker. Guess what they're looking at?  My baby pictures!

Momma's birthday is coming up soon.  She'll be 14 years old!  We had so much fun together (but I'm not sure that she recognized me as her daughter.  It's okay.  It's what dogs sometimes do).

That's all for now!  WOOF!
